RESPITE COUNSELOR
Lexington, MA
$20.00 per hour
The Edinburg Center is seeking a Respite Counselor in our innovative, community-based, respite program to assist mental health clients in avoiding unnecessary hospitalization or transition successfully from the hospital to community living.
AVAILABLE SCHEDULES:
Mon & Tues 11pm-9am, Thurs 9pm-9am, and Sat 12am-8am (FT)
Tues, Wed, Fri & Sat 11pm-9am (FT)
Wed 1pm-11pm, Thurs & Fri 3pm-11pm and Sat 9am-11pm (FT)
Sun 9am-11pm & Friday 12am-8am (PT)
What You Will Do:
Primary responsibilities include providing recovery-oriented psychosocial rehabilitation, advocacy, support and crisis prevention/intervention services to adults temporarily residing in a short term respite.
Who You Are:
BA and at least 1 year experience with adult mental health population required OR High school diploma and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience will be considered. Experience in Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) model programs and knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation preferred. First Aid, CPR, and MAP certification within three months of hire required. Basic computer skills required. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
