What's in it for you:

Serving as an advisor to the field, you will play a critical role in the growth of airside products that service high growth vertical markets. You will provide timely and knowledgeable support to the Field Sales Organization in North America with a primary focus on air handling products. This position will report directly to the Airside Transformation Project Leader. This role will work closely with key customers, Strategic Account Managers, Area Service Managers, Operations leadership, and Technical Service teams.

Where is the work:

Due to the nature of this role, this position has been designated as a Hybrid work schedule, with work performed onsite 3 days each week.

This role may be filled in as hybrid in Columbia, SC; Lexington, KY; Fort Smith, AR

What you will do:

  • Provide knowledge and consultation in the form of developing HVAC system related solutions for the customer’s problems, including financial and performance-based considerations.

  • Consistently ascertain customer needs and current market opportunities. Work internally with our ETO team to help create products, solutions and systems to address the specific customer needs and opportunities.

  • Assist customers in answering technical questions on Trane Airside Products and relevant industry issues.

  • Support special design requests, custom designs and creating associated custom submittal drawings.

  • Work with internal or external customers in the areas of, but not limited to, design specials/technical/systems/application engineering/customer specification/job expediting and pricing questions.

  • Serve as Airside subject matter expert through technical and application knowledge of products and understanding of competitor product offerings. Continually advance this knowledge through personal development goals.

  • Actively collaborate and serve as a trusted partner with product engineering, application engineering, manufacturing, product support teams, and product management. This engagement will facilitate alignment on special design direction for our products.

  • Serve as high growth vertical market subject matter expert through technical and application knowledge of these products. Continually advance this knowledge through personal development goals.

  • Support or lead strategic airside projects for the airside project management team.

What you will bring:

  • Technical aptitude to communicate air handlers and their applications.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or technical degree or minimum 8 years proven, equivalent, relevant experience.

  • Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.

  • Tactful and assertive leadership skills to effectively interact with the field (account managers, sales assistants, customers).

  • Solid organization skills and flexibility to handle a variety of time sensitive tasks and projects.

  • Ability to travel up to 15%

  • Minimum 5 years of experience within industrial or manufacturing sector. Experience could include product management, engineering, marketing/sales, or field support experience.

  • PC and end user computer use (Creo, AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, Adobe).

Base Compensation Range is $80,000-$100,000

Disclaimer: This base salary range is based on US national averages. Actual base pay could be a result of seniority, merit, geographic location where the work is performed
