Schneider Electric USA, Inc Shipping Supervisor in Lexington, Kentucky

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for a Shipping Supervisor in Lexington, KY. The Shipping Supervisor will oversee receiving, shipping, and warehouse activities, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and productivity standards, while also managing and developing the warehouse team. This role involves optimizing workload, addressing customer inquiries, leading meetings, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for management of hourly operators in the Shipping Department.
Responsible for employee performance, development, engagement, discipline, etc.
Responsible for the performance of "standard work" within the department.
Responsible for communication with customers to answer shipment inquiries, preform root cause analysis, implementation of countermeasures, and regular audits to review results.
May occasionally fill in for or assist 1 st / 2 nd shift Warehouse /Weekend Shift Supervisor.
May be responsible for temporarily moving or shifting individual operators from one position or sector to another depending on changes in demand or priorities.
Responsible for managing/assisting in yearly physical inventory.

Main Activity
Enforce compliance with Health/Safety/Environment and 5S rules throughout plant, including reporting and managing incidents and near misses.
Enforce compliance with quality system and proper appliance of the defined processes and procedures to meet the required quality level.
Optimize daily / weekly balance workload / resources (internal, external storage, and freight capacities).
Managing freight routes with Transportation and implement processes for cost avoidance.
Ensure management of the logistics process, shipping finished goods, and wastes.
Manage shipment processes performance and Supply Chain Planning Central team guidelines for inventory management.
Ensure inventories accuracy with permanent alignment between operations & inventory (ERP system SAP & actuals).
Be the SAP Key-User for the department managing SAP processes and attend regular key user meetings.
Lead the morning kick-off meeting, identifying / recording barriers, and creating action plan to remove barriers.
Organize the training needs of teams and manage the versatility in accordance with the target defined. Create work instructions as needed.
Guarantee that service level, quality environment, process lead time, maintenance & productivity goals are reached, including monitor and analyze logistic cost.
Manage the yearly appraisals of all DVC within the department.
Preforms related duties as assigned.

What qualifications will make you successfully?
Bachelor's degree in business, management, logistics or similar discipline preferred but no required.
Knowledge of logistics, inventory, and supply chain management.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Ability to anticipate and solve problems.
Excellent organization skills and attention to details.
Time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, ERP systems (SAP highly preferred), and data entry software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
English language proficiency (reading, writing, oral) is required.
