The successful candidate will teach three courses in some combination of animation and digital art courses per semester according to student demand and available staffing. The hired faculty will be expected to work with area faculty on course and curriculum development, build a teaching profile consistent with School of Art and Visual Studies standards and participate in shared governance within the School, the College, and the University. The projected distribution of effort for this position is 75% teaching, and 25% service. The salary range for this position is $48,000-$52,000.Candidates must hold an MFA degree or equivalent in either studio art or design (by August 2023) with an emphasis in animation and creative design. Some teaching experience beyond graduate school is highly desired. The graphic design/illustration position belongs to a Bachelor of Science degree program in digital media design, which is closely related to a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts degree programs in studio art.
