Hi-Lo driver / receivingLocation:Lexington, KY, USEntry Level: Career Starters (0-3 years)Function: Production & OperationsType of Contract: permanentJob ID: 28504Hi-Lo Driver- Transports materials safely and efficiently to support production needs.- Responsible for performing cycle counts and housekeeping of assigned designated areas within the department.- Responsible for notifying Production Control of last container pulled from Warehouse.- Responsible for printing of daily reports that ensure First In First Out material rotation and correct material is provided to the manufacturing line.- Responsible for verification on all inbound material and all outbound shipments to ensure inventory accuracy and Customer Satisfaction.- Responsible for bar code scanning of all products throughout the plant using the QS9000 Job instructions.- Ensures all material is properly stored, tagged, and moved per the QS9000 Job Instructions.- Performs preventative Hi Lo maintenance daily i.e.; (check fluids, performs visual damage inspection, and completes maintenance check sheet). Responsible for PPE's in designated areas.- Responsible for verification and reporting of all safety related equipment (i.e.; dock locks, forklift equipment, dock doors, chemicals)- Reports all accidents and damaged materials immediately to a supervisor. - Document any deviations to the customer shipping instructions and late shipments, i.e., log form- Load and unload trucks on the dock as required- Ensure proper tagging of incoming material- Maintain good housekeeping of the shipping and receiving area including the dock office- Ensure that all parts which are ready to be shipped in a timely manner via proper routing (charted)- Ensure that all material receipts are entered in QAD on shift received. Include date received, time and signature on packing slip.- Perform other duties as assigned- Monitor any shipping discrepancies and correct immediately' communicate discrepancies with Supervisor and Plant Manager- Follow all QS-9000 procedures- Attend annual Hazardous Waste Labeling Training- Assure proper handling, storage and disposal of hazardous waste1. Original manufacturers labels are painted over2. Appropriate Hazardous/Non-Hazardous waste labels on top and side of each drum3. Ensure that all barrels are dated and initialed prior to removal of the drum(s)4. Prior to storage, ensure all drums are sealed appropriately5. If the above items are not complete, do not pick up the drum. Contact operations TC or GL.6. Ensure that hazardous waste drums (Yellow and Red Labels) are stored in the chemical room or the tank farm until shipment is sent out.Please contact HR for more information.
