Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Lexington, Kentucky

Description

We are currently in the search for a Full Charge Bookkeeper in Lexington, Kentucky. This role primarily involves handling all accounting needs for various clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. You will have the opportunity to work in a CPA firm, providing exceptional customer service while utilizing your skills in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software systems. This role has good work life balance and does not require extra hours or weekends during busy season!

Responsibilities:

• Manage all aspects of bookkeeping for multiple clients, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.

• Compile and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for clients.

• Conduct year-end closing activities, ensuring all accounts are reconciled and accurate for tax preparation.

• Process payroll for clients, including calculation of wages, benefits, and deductions. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.

• Prepare and file payroll tax returns, including quarterly and annual reports.

• Generate and distribute W-2s and 1099s to employees and contractors.

• Maintain regular communication with clients to discuss their financial status, answer queries, and provide guidance on financial matters.

• Provide excellent customer service, ensuring clients receive timely and accurate responses to their inquiries and needs.

• Utilize QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software efficiently for bookkeeping tasks, financial reporting, and data analysis

Requirements

• Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper

• Proficient with Accounting Software Systems

• Mastery of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook

• Demonstrated experience with Accounting Functions

• Proficient in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Ability to handle Billing Functions

• Proficient in using Quickbooks Online

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

• Experience in a CPA firm is a plus
