Fabrication Shop Supervisor

1st Shift

Lexington, KY

Description:

Responsible for overseeing daily operations and supervising personnel performing welding and fabrication within the shop. Ensures work is completed safely, according to hours estimated and highest level of quality. Communicates with Fabrication Management on job status, work hours and productivity and coordinates all documentation flow from the shop to the office including monitoring budgeted expenses for Workers, supplies or tools and reviewing laws and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1. Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the entire fabrication team, ensure safe operation of all equipment and tasks within the fabrication shop.

2. Ensure all quality standards are met on all material being produced in the fabrication shop.

3. Collaborate with fabrication Manager to develop and refine project schedules, resource allocation plans and budgets. Manage material and equipment usage, track progress, and adapt plans as needed.

4. Effectively manage resources, including materials, equipment, and personnel while Optimizing resource allocation for maximum efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

5. Set standards for productivity measures.

6. Hold employees accountable to their work and deadlines.

7. Evaluating, utilizing, and recommending equipment and procedures.
