Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of Parker's Corporate Supply Chain management methodology with critical focus on spend management, supply chain technology, and leveraging total Parker spend globally. Also responsible for program development of people within the supply chain; proper utilization of supplier (procurement) diversity programs; and education and implementation of Parker's national contracts for maximum efficiency and effectiveness throughout the corporation. Responsible for procurement function within the headquarters facility. Position fully embraces the corporation's Win Strategy.

  • Responsible for headquarters procurement function, establishing process and proper controls with adherence to the Corporate Procurement Policy. Engage all functional areas within the headquarters facility including the Flight Department and Corporate Real Estate to ensure commitment and execution of Parker's strategic procurement program. - Responsible for the Corporate Travel Department and Parkland Facility Management/Procurement Department. - Responsible for the development and deployment of Parker's supply chain technology (POL, Sourcing tool, Supplier Qualification System, Spend Management database, Supplier Portal, etc.). - Work with established commodity councils and category teams globally in order to effectively leverage the power of Parker with respect to procurement. - Accountable for developing and maintaining the Supply Chain Management Trainee Program. Responsible for creating a developmental process for groups and divisions to recruit, train and develop quality and professional "next generation" supply chain management personnel. Will orchestrate and administer an integrated program to be used across a multi-group environment. - Responsible for developing and administering Parker's Supplier Diversity Policy. Will develop and maintain a program and web-based system to enroll potential suppliers, determine corporate/governmental goals and metrics to measure. Accountable for education and compliance within the groups and divisions on the documented cost effective importance of supplier diversity. - Accountable for developing and maintaining the corporation's liaison relationships and active participation in the Corporate United Procurement Consortium. Explore opportunities for the corporation and determine/recommend participation levels. Will network with other companies to discover and determine best practices. - With input from all groups, will follow corporate guidelines to negotiate national contracts on behalf of the corporation. Will educate and assist the groups and divisions of the merits and strategies or using national contracts. Will create a database for recognizing and monitoring the results across the corporation.

  • Four year college degree in business, with a MBA or additional certification preferred. - Seven to ten years experience proven track record of successful implementation of people development programs. Strong HR background a plus. - Must have excellent analytical and technical skills with an ability to understand and communicate best business practices. - Must be energetic self starter with persistence to succeed. - Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external contacts. - Experience working within a consortium environment a plus. - Must be able to travel 25% to 40% of the time.
