As an Operations Excellence Senior Manager your role involves leading continuous improvement initiatives within the organization to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and drive a culture of continuous improvement. Your duties may include conducting process assessments, identifying improvement opportunities, implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence within the organization. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational excellence and achieve business goals.The role will work closely with COE, Operations, Engineering, IT, Quality, EH&S, and Analytics teams to understand and deliver necessary improvements and technologies to the Valvoline Supply Chain.

*Valvoline Global Operations Headquarters is located in Lexington, KY. We prefer candidates willing to work a hybrid in-office work schedule (3 days per week). We are open to candidates living in nearby markets (i.e. Cincinnati and Louisville), willing to visit weekly.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Build and manage a team to create a global operational excellence program of continuous improvement that will support the corporate Supply Chain COE team.

  • Develop and implement process improvement strategies to enhance operational efficiency. Create global report outs on progress and actions. Enable operations teams to analyze data and performance to identify areas for optimization and cost reduction. Implement a system of accountability.

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive a culture of operational excellence and ensure alignment with business objectives. Foster a global program for Lean and Six Sigma training and development.

  • Develop global standard best practices across the operations organization.

  • Support the Industry 4.0 initiative by becoming part of the project team for operation excellence.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, or operations management

  • At least 12 years of experience in an engineering/technical or operations field.

  • Experience in an Operational Excellence or Continuous Improvement role is desired.

  • Microsoft suite. Must have experience with Excel.

  • Experience working with data, databases, generating graphs, charts, data analysis.

  • KPI reporting

  • PI Database and PI Vision

  • Power BI

  • Operational technology / Cloud systems

  • SAP

  • Project managment experience

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

  • Ability to travel up to 55% (domestically and internationally)

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
