Prime Controls Panel Drafter - Lewisville, TX in Lewisville, Texas

Job Overview:  

As a Panel Dafter, you will contribute and support the design team. Your design team will work on developing a collective design package for internal customers.

 

A Typical Day at Prime Controls  

 

  • Understand basic functions of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical to modify drawings as requested by designer.

  • Performs self and peer review checks of provided work.

  • Collaborate with design team members to create drawings as requested.

  • Assist designers with directed design tasks.

  • Learn and apply Prime Controls Panel Design Standards.

  • Read and interpret provided design information, such as design documents, project team documents, calculation sheets, and manufacturer information.

  • Continuous communication with design team members to achieve shared objectives.

    What You Will Bring  

     

    The Basic  

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) .

  • 2-5 years’ experience as a design drafter .

  • Familiar with AutoCAD .

  • Proficiency with MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint).

  • Understanding of Documentation Software: Adobe Pro.

  • Must be capable of reading customer architectural and mechanical plans .

  • Must be capable of reading and understanding customer requirements in the form of quotations and specifications.

    The Preferred  

  • 2-year technical associate degree
