job summary:

A leading engineering and design firm is looking for a structural engineer to join its team in Lewiston, ID. This is a contract to hire postiion with an expected conversion around 6 months.

As structural engineer, you will be in charge of creating and stamping designs for industrial projects and structural steel buildings. You will also do client consulting and field walks including on-site inspections of the project. Typical projects involve wood/pulp/paper and designing equipment supports and foundations in addition to steel buildings.

This position is based in Lewiston, ID and requires travel to the client site. Preferred candidates are within a two hour radius of Lewiston and this role will work remote when not on site.

Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and be an EIT or have a PE license along with 5+ years experience doing industrial design (oil/gas, structural steel, chemical plants, wood/paper, etc). Qualified candidates may be eligible for per diem during the contract period prior to conversion.
