Danaher Corporation IT Support Agent in Leuven, Belgium

We are currently looking for an IT Support Agent (shift: 7am-4pm) to join our growing team.

In this role you're not only providing support on desktop applications and internally developed software, but you will also be the go-to person for hardware & software issues. Furthermore, you will perform a wide variety of exciting tasks, ranging from basic networking to accurately keeping track of our inventory within an office and laboratory environment.

The ideal candidate has an IT background on a high school or Bachelor level, is familiar with a Microsoft Windows environment and has good digital literacy. You are good at prioritizing your work and you enjoy working independently and with an eye for detail. Being a good communicator in both Dutch and English is also very meaningful as you will be joining an ICT team that not only gives local but also global support!

Responsibilities

  • Provide user support for desktop applications and internally developed software in a Microsoft Windows environment operating 24 hours per day.

  • Install, troubleshoot and repair a variety of hardware and software platforms.

  • Perform basic networking to local desktop computers.

  • Support and maintain network printers.

  • Maintain a high level quality of customer service when taking care of and responding to questions and issues.

  • Help maintain accurate inventory.

  • Treat information acquired during execution of job functions as strictly confidential.

Job Qualifications

  • IT background on a high school or Bachelor level. Requires good communication and digital literacy.

  • Experience with Microsoft Active Directory preferred.

  • Familiarity with current Microsoft computer operating systems and software.

  • Understanding of basic network components like Ethernet, Fiber, TCP/IP, Switches, Hubs, NICs and Routers.

  • Be highly organized and have the ability to maintain several projects at one time.

  • Ability to communicate optimally in a professional manner with customers, employees and all levels of management.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Have a valid driver’s license.

  • Be willing to be respond to issues after regular business hours.

  • Be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Other languages are a bonus.
