As part of a business startup, the Director General Management will develop and implement a regular rhythm to managing the business, including establishing a cadence of controls and reviews to manage the “running of the business”. The Director General Management will work with cross-functional teams in a matrix, enterprise environment to gain insights into complex business process to make strategic, innovative decisions that positively impact customers, patients, and our business. Primary responsibilities of the Director General Management:
Assist the General Manager on a daily basis to navigate the organization and various stakeholders in order to get the management team in position
Coordinate short, medium and long-term strategy planning, providing executive oversight and guidance to major projects on behalf of the business General Manager
Assist leaders across the new organization to create better alignment with business partners, business segments and functional areas, thereby ensuring internal and external coordination and a unified approach
Support development of the strategic plan, financial plans, and annual business plans in conjunction with Executives, Finance, and other functional teams, providing insight and recommendations and ensuring alignment
Manage the development of MBOs, ensure alignment across the executive team to deliver against the MBO’s, and track goals and milestones of major projects/ initiatives to communicate status and results
Ensure a consistent representation of the business and managing partnerships with internal stakeholders across the enterprise who are contributing to initiatives
Anticipate, manage preparation for, and facilitate meetings on behalf of the General Manager, ensuring adherence to deadlines.
Gather and decipher critical documents and information, investigate, and thoroughly answer critical questions and ensure timely follow up of all action items.
Required Qualifications of the Director General Management:
BA/BSc degree or equivalent experience
Management/leadership experience
Demonstrated success working collaboratively across multiple stakeholders in a global environment
Deep understanding of strategy, operations, reporting and forecasting with a demonstrated ability to quickly aggregate and analyze information and draw conclusions
Ability to quickly understand needs and act on those needs; ability to conceptualize and effectuate change management and “out of the box” thinking
Effective communicator capable of effectively presenting ideas and selling concepts and tactics with excellent writing skills and a proven ability to communicate effectively with executive levels
Influential, strategic thinker, willing to challenge siloed thinking and drive change at all levels of the organization
Self-starter with a track record of driving programs and projects in a matrix environment with demonstrated history of managing complex and scaled initiatives
Intermediate level skill with Microsoft suite
