Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for a part-time (32 hours/week) outpatient oncology position at Simonds-Sinon Regional Cancer Center, part of the UMass Memorial Health System, in Fitchburg, MA .

Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:

• provide exceptional nutrition care to oncology patients in the outpatient setting;

• serve as an active member of the multidisciplinary care team, with involvement in weekly rounds, group education classes/support groups, committees and/or community outreach events as needed;

• participate in performance improvement and/or outcome measurement initiatives;

• be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process; and

• efficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities.

Is this opportunity right for you? We are looking for candidates who have:

• Registered Dietitian credentials and licensure in MA

• two or more years of clinical experience, oncology experience strongly preferred;

• excellent verbal and written communication skills;

• demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and adapt to changing needs;

• a history of working independently with little direction and with a positive outlook; and

• a commitment to continued education in the nutrition field.

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)(Note:For those seeking registration after 2023, a master’s degree will be required)

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years experienced practitioner able to work with minimal supervision

Credentials Requirement:

• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)

• Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice

• Specialty credential in area(s) of focused practice, as applicable, or advanced practice certification (RD-AP/RDN-AP)
