This position is for an experienced professional in Value Stream professional who will lead key programs and projects in Lenexa, KS. This role will be the primary customer interface, lead the Individual Program Teams (IPT) on large programs, recommend resolutions for medium to complex program topics, maintain internal / external progress reports, and participate in and lead contract negotiations. Candidate must be detail oriented, and possess critical thinking skills to provide recommendations that are in alignment with the organization’s strategy and goals
Effective 8/3 – This requisition has changed from hybrid to onsite based on the company-wide directive to increase onsite presence.
This role is eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for Profit and Loss of large program and project value streams specifically in sustaining activities (existing production)
Leads risk and opportunity management for programs in production
Participates in coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization’s interests
Leads large programs to support the development of program plans, schedules, and budgets for programs under his/her responsibility
Establishes key performance indicators and directs work to achieve these targets
Analyzes data and monitors programs to ensure adherence to cost, schedule and technical specifications
Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the program(s) to Senior Leadership and Customers
Implements continuous improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency and quality, specifically utilizing CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence), lean, or six sigma methodology
Identifies and addresses program problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful performance of programs in production including field service safety issues, customer satisfaction issues, obsolescence, work transfers, improvements for capacity, and supplier requests
Leads program work with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with the customer program objectives supporting development phase and then owning the production phase
Directs program phases from start of production through completion (sunsetting) of program
Interfaces with customers for program requirements to ensure successful completion
Manages the contract lifecycle, cost, schedule and performance of company programs or subsystems of major programs
Basic Qualifications:
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 1 4 years of relevant experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Engineering degree or analytical type degree
Experience with manufacturing (operations) and supply chain
PMP Preferred
