Job Description

PCG is seeking an experienced Manager of Data Enablement to join our dynamic IT Department located at our corporate office in Lenexa, Kansas. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving our organization's data strategy forward, ensuring that data is leveraged effectively across all departments to drive business decisions and innovation. You will oversee the development and implementation of data solutions, processes, and governance frameworks to enable data-driven decision-making and optimize business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Data Strategy Development:

  2. Collaborate with leadership to define and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with business objectives.

  3. Identify opportunities to improve data quality, accessibility, and usability across the organization.

  4. Data Enablement Leadership:

  5. Lead a team responsible for data governance, data architecture, data integration, data maintenance, data operations, and data analytics.

  6. Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and ensure alignment of data initiatives with organizational goals.

  7. Data Infrastructure and Tools:

  8. Oversee the selection, implementation, and optimization of data management tools and technologies.

  9. Ensure scalability, security, and reliability of data infrastructure to support business growth and operational efficiency.

  10. Data Quality and Compliance:

  11. Establish and enforce data quality standards and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).

  12. Implement processes for data cleansing, validation, and normalization to maintain high data integrity.

  13. Cross-functional Collaboration:

  14. Partner with IT, business intelligence, and analytics teams to integrate data solutions into business processes and applications.

  15. Work closely with stakeholders across departments to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

  16. Training and Development:

  17. Develop training programs to enhance data literacy across the organization.

  18. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

  19. Stay updated with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices and recommend innovative solutions to improve system efficiency and performance.

Requirements

Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Management, Business Administration, or related field

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in data management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, data architecture, and data integration techniques

  • Proficiency in data analysis and modeling tools (e.g., MS Fabric, SQL, Python, R)

  • Proficiency in data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)

  • In-depth knowledge of relational database management systems (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL) and their underlying architecture

  • Strong understanding of cloud-based database platforms (e.g., Amazon RDS, Microsoft Azure SQL Database)

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business insights, both written and verbally.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and driving large-scale data initiatives from inception to implementation

  • Strong understanding of Development and Change management processes (e.g., Agile, SAFe, ITIL, SDLC)

  • Ability to efficiently work with interdepartmental teams and other internal stakeholders

  • Reflects the qualities of “Hungry, Humble, and Smart”

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • Professional certification in database administration (e.g., Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) is highly desirable

  • Local to the Kansas City Metro Area
