PAY RATE: $19.57 per hour
SCHEDULE: Temporary - Season starts May 13 and ends August 8 (Dates may be adjusted.)
DEPARTMENT: Recreation
JOB SUMMARY
Tennis Lessons instructor will plan and supervise youth tennis instructors who provide group tennis lessons to youth and adults.
RESPONSIBLITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 21 years of age. At least 2 years teaching tennis skills preferred.
- Must have knowledge of tennis foundations and have the ability to demonstrate proper tennis technique.
- Must be available for all tennis lesson sessions.
- Tennis Lessons are held every Monday through Thursday for two-week sessions starting at the end of May until the beginning of August. The first session is held from 6pm to 8pm with the following sessions running from 8am to 12pm. Tennis Lessons schedule may vary with instructor's availability.
- A positive attitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and/or crouch for extended periods of time.
- Ability and willingness to learn all aspects of the tennis programs and other duties as assigned.
