EASYPOST Senior Director, Software Engineering in LEHI, Utah
Provide strategic leadership and vision for the "Shipping Solutions" engineering function, aligning it with our organization's goals and objectives. Lead and manage a team of software engineering managers and engineers, providing guidance, mentorship and support to foster their professional growth and development. Set the technical direction and roadmap for software development, driving innovation and leveraging emerging technologies to enhance product offerings, Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, quality assurance and infrastructure, to ensure seamless integration and delivery of software solutions. Define and implement software development methodologies, best practices and quality standards to ensure efficient and scalable software delivery. Manage and prioritize software engineering projects, allocating resources, setting realistic timelines and monitoring progress to meet project goals and objectives. Establish and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, effectively communicating project status, managing expectations and gathering feedback to ensure customer satisfaction. Drive continuous improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process optimization, automation and efficiency gains within the software development life cycle. Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and advancements in software engineering practices and assess applicability to our needs. Lead and participate in talent acquisition and retention efforts, attracting top software engineering talent and fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Remote/Telecommuting option.
