Actalent Spacecraft Electrical Engineer in Leesburg, Virginia
In this role you will lead the development of total spacecraft electrical design, integration, and test. Responsibilities include development of system requirements, electrical conceptual design, product specifications, SOW’s and ICD’s, as well as lead component, subsystem and system level electrical integration/test. A typical day in this role includes interacting with engineering team members to ensure the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total electrical subsystem solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. You should have experience supporting the development of spacecraft electrical design, including both power distribution and command/data handling aspects, collaborating and working in a team environment, as well as working in a self-sufficient independent manner. The ideal candidate would have experience in both detailed design and higher-level systems engineering. Seeking a Spacecraft Electrical Lead Engineer to join our team of qualified and diverse individuals. In this role you will lead the development of total spacecraft electrical design, integration, and test.
Support technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total spacecraft electrical design.
Support development of total electrical subsystem product to include: concept, detailed design, fabrication and test support, installation support, and support of programmatic activities.
Support new business development initiatives.

Bachelor's degree (or better) in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
10+ years of electrical engineering experience.
Hands-on experience designing, fabricating, and/or testing electrical subsystems for space applications.
Experience developing/maintaining requirements and technical documentation.
Ability to work independently as well as lead in a team environment.
Able to prioritize, execute and delegate tasks in a high pressure, dynamic environment/
Experience in Electrical RF design and test.
Experience in Electrical Systems Engineering.
Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Existing DoD clearance.
