Bush Veterinary Neurology Service in Leesburg, VA is looking for an experienced Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our outstanding team!

About you:
You have a strong foundational understanding and can perform the basic responsibilities of a veterinary technician including (but not limited to):
- Venipuncture
Placing IV Catheters
Drug Calculations
Administration of Medications (IV or other methods)
Taking Vitals
Observe, document and recognize changes in patient attitude, abnormal behavior, and changes in condition
Providing high quality medical/nursing care
You work well independently and as part of a team, practicing good judgment to ensure high-quality care for all patients
You adapt to the individual needs of each patient, are not afraid to ask questions, are eager to enhance your skill set, and maintain a positive attitude
EzyVet and SmartFlow experience is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits (full- time employees):
LVT: ($30/hr + commensurate with relevant experience)

Qualifications:
The LVT position requires a current and active Veterinary Technician License in Virginia, or have an active license in another state that qualifies you to be eligible for licensing
At least two years of Veterinary experience as an LVT, or one with two years as a Veterinary Assistant.
Extensive experience with anesthesia, venipuncture and catheters
Excellent communication, patient care and customer service skills
Be flexible and adapt well to new situations
Work well as part of a team
Additional Requirements:
Must be eligible to work in the United States and have original, unexpired documents to verify eligibility.
Must be able to pass a 7-year background check and drug test (complying with local, state and Federal guidelines).
Have a valid high school diploma or GED
Physical Demands : The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. Must have the ability to respond quickly in urgent situations using all senses. During the normal workday, employee may occasionally lift and/or push/pull up to 50 pounds. This position requires sitting for long periods of time.
