Job Summary and Qualifications

The MRI Technologist performs routine and specialized magnetic resonance imaging and computer tomography (CT) of organs, organ systems and blood flow studies. The MRI Tech presents images and patient information/history to the Radiologist so that a comprehensive diagnostic report is available to referring physician.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will compassionately assist and position patients.

  • You will start IVs for contrast injection when necessary.

  • You will assess image quality and make adjustments when necessary.

  • You will release patients with proper post procedure instructions.

  • You will turn over and prepare the room using aseptic technique between patients and clean / sterilize equipment.

  • You will follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Prefer High school graduate / graduate of an accredited school or college with certificate or degree in Radiology Technology.

  • Must be ARRT Registered with ARRT – RT(R)(MR) within 6 months of hire.

  • BCLS required

  • 2-3 years MRI experience preferred.

  • On Call required and must have the ability to report to the facility within one hour of call back.
