Machine Operator: Temp to Perm and Permanent Opportunities Hiring Immediately! 1st & 2nd Shift available 1st shift hours: Mon-Thurs: 6am-4:15pm 2nd shift hours: Mon-Thurs: 4pm-2:15am Salary: $15-$17/hour Manufacturing company in Lee, MA POSITION SUMMARY: Machine Operators are individuals who have a proven ability gained through experience and on-the-job training to operate the machinery and associated equipment to convert materials to the desired specifications. Machine Operators must have a keen understanding of the machinery and materials to be converted and pay great attention to detail, identifying and reporting any and all inconsistencies they recognize related to the material, machinery, subcomponents and/or associated paper work. COMPETENCIES: Follows safety and other regulations when handling and operating equipment. Pays close attention to detail, accuracy and completeness; shows concerns for all aspects of the job and follows up on work outputs. Shows up to work on time, and follows instructions, policies and procedures. Meets the productivity standards, deadlines and work schedules. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate one or more of the following machines following all applicable work instructions: Re-Roller * Reels * Ultra Sonic Bonders * Die Cutters * Trimmers * Sheeters. * Winders/Re-Winders 90% Review documentation, consult, process information and monitor results. Review all documentation required for the order to determine raw materials, quality specifications for finished work, sequence of operations, and setup requirements for machine and production line. Consult supervisor if a work order is inaccurate or cannot be followed as documented. Complete the order processing information as required for each order. Monitor the finished products obtained from the machine to verify and ensure the acceptable quality level of each part as outlined in the Item Directory Form (IDF). Identify production problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions, escalating appropriately as needed. 10% OTHER FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES: Maintain a well-organized work area and keeping the work area clean by sweeping, picking up debris, and removing anything which may cause a safety hazard. May lead and direct the work of line helpers. Perform the duties of a line helper as needed. Follow all safety policies and procedures. Report safety issues and potential hazards to Supervisor. Look for ways to improve the production process while maintaining quality requirement such as increasing productivity or reducing waste. Select Machine Operators may operate a forklift if trained and certified. Other related duties as directed by management. Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent-OR- Any combination of academic education, professional training or work experience, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
