Kelly Services Lab Technician in Lebanon, Pennsylvania

Kelly® Science & Clinical is seeking Lab Technician for a contract-to-hire position at a pharmaceutical packaging leader in Lebanon, PA. Compensation: $21.50/hr (15% increase upon conversion to direct hire)

Schedule: M-F, 2 nd shift (2PM-10:20PM) OR 3rd shift (10PM-6AM)

SUMMARY

This opportunity is a great fit for someone interested in quality control and laboratory analysis within the pharmaceutical industry. Responsible for ensuring that quality testing, along with release of the product, adheres with established standards and specifications. Where applicable, assist with general quality support, potential improvement measures, and cross-training initiatives. Work on reporting results to satisfy department goals, objectives and deliverables.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide support to Production by visually inspecting sterilized glass vials throughout daily activities; identify and classify defects

  2. Perform visual inspection and testing of incoming materials using statistical sampling techniques, precision measuring instrumentation and FT-IR to ensure conformance

  3. Perform laboratory tests including endotoxin, bioburden and sub visible particle

  4. Perform Environmental Monitoring in ISO level Clean Room including compressed air testing

  5. Conduct inventory of laboratory supplies and communication needs for order placement(s)

  6. Collect WFI (Water for Injection) for testing using aseptic technique

  7. Communicate non-conforming issues and interact effectively with proper contact(s)

  8. Demonstrate flexibility in providing coverage during instances of co-work vacation time and/or medical absence(s)

  9. Cross train in other areas and/or functions of the laboratory to support business needs

  10. Complete daily, weekly and monthly cleaning of applicable laboratory areas

  11. Review testing documents for completeness and accuracy

  12. Maintain all laboratory notebooks and equipment logbooks

  13. Work on all assigned tasks, projects and daily tasks

  14. Follow all Company policies and procedures

  15. Participate in required trainings and meetings, when necessary

  16. Help promote and implement safety/EHS directives and maintain a clean and safe workspace

  17. Follow cGMP and adhere to all ISO and safety guidelines and policies

  18. Collect samples and perform daily Hydrolytic Resistance Testing/Retesting of vials according to applicable ISO standard(s), using a titrator

  19. Conduct daily Quick Delamination Testing

  20. Maintain, clean, and fill all treatment tanks

  21. Upkeep on laboratory and treatment room equipment

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. High School Diploma or GED, required

  2. Quality Control and laboratory experience, preferred

  3. Experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing setting

  4. Understanding of cGMP and ISO, preferred

  5. Basic computer knowledge and skills including MS Office
