Distribution Center Operations Manager Night Shift/2nd Shift Hours
Position Overview:
The DC Operations Manager provides overall management of all the support staff in the distribution center. This includes office operations, inventory management, and support functions. Responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the facility while maintaining a high level of customer service and meeting budget requirements. Develops direct reports to achieve desired results.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage support personnel, budget and costs of inventory, office support, and service areas
Responsible for planning and establishing priorities for performance of tasks to optimize available resources
Review all necessary paperwork to plan work activities, schedule appropriate personnel and balance loads
Responsible for improving processes, reducing costs, monitoring quality, and maintaining on-time delivery
In conjunction with HR, responsible for hiring, developing, disciplining, and terminating support employees
Interact with customers when required to ensure highest quality of customer service is sustained
Tracks, and reports daily, weekly, and monthly metrics and use to drive improvements
Creates a Leadership environment in the location.
Directly assists when needed in warehousing, loading/shipping, and service functions to sustain operations
Executes KPI plans, meets KPI commitments and works within the guidelines of the KPI's
Adheres to all facets of safety policies and procedures.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
7+ years distribution, warehousing, and service management experience required.
Knowledge of DOT regulations a plus
Supervisory experience required
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATION/FORMAL TRAINING :
- BS Degree in Business Management or related field required or 7+ years' experience in distribution supervisor/management role
ESSENTIAL ABILITIES:
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service skills
Able to read, analyze, and interpret financial and metric reports
Ability to work independently with limited supervision, under pressure and meet deadlines
Must be computer literate, understand MS Office products, and have ability to learn new software programs
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills, able to motivate employees to achieve desired results.
REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to travel as required -- very limited
Must have the ability to move and lift materials and products weighing up to 50 lbs. as needed
Prolonged sitting and terminal use
Oracle knowledge a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work performed indoors/outdoors or in a warehouse type facility
