Job Title: Controls Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Controls Technician to join our team at a food manufacturing facility that produces salad dressings and sauces, including the popular Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce. The facility packages and distributes products for sale at various stores and restaurants. As a Controls Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and repairing electrically controlled equipment, including PLC-controlled and solid-state equipment, as well as performing preventative maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrically controlled equipment, including PLC-controlled and solid-state equipment.

  • Perform preventative maintenance on packaging machines, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors, motors, cylinders, pumps, valves, and flow meters.

  • Repair and maintain case packers, case sealers, filler machines, labelers, and palletizers.

  • Utilize Allen-Bradley experience, specifically Logix 500 and Logix 5000 software, for troubleshooting and programming.

  • Install and troubleshoot PLCs, particularly Allen Bradley systems.

  • Repair and maintain machinery conveyors.

  • Troubleshoot Fanuc robotics.

  • Set up and repair VFDs.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot safety circuits.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical troubleshooting

  • PLC troubleshooting and installation, specifically Allen Bradley

  • Machinery conveyor repair

  • Fanuc robotic troubleshooting

  • Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs, including programming, edits, and troubleshooting

  • Experience with VFD setups and repairs

  • Knowledge of safety circuits

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • At least 3-4 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance or relevant schooling in Automation/PLC

  • Experience in a food manufacturing environment with GMP standards

Work Environment

The position is in a food manufacturing environment that follows GMP standards. Available shifts include 2nd shift (3 PM - 11:30 PM) and 3rd shift (11 PM - 7:30 AM). Training will be provided on 1st shift for 1-2 weeks. Please note that interviews will not be conducted on Monday mornings or Friday afternoons.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lebanon, Indiana.

The pay range for this position is $72800.00 - $80000.00
