Civil & Structural Engineer - Early Careers

KBR’s global business comprises two main segments – Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) and Government Solutions (GS). This role sits within STS in the Integrated Solutions business unit. Integrated Solutions is the engineering and project delivery group providing services which include front-end and detailed engineering, procurement, construction services, and program management primarily in the hydrocarbons and energy transition industries.

We are looking for a highly motivated, self-starting and ambitious Civil Engineer to join its Civil and Structural Engineering Department, based in Leatherhead. Requirements for the position are outlined below;

  • Position – Civil Engineer

  • Academic qualifications – MSc in Civil Engineering or related subject. A first degree in Civil Engineering is preferred.

  • Professional qualifications – Chartered Engineer

  • Roles and Responsibilities

  • Working in a project-based environment under the supervision of senior KBR staff the candidate will be responsible for study, design and specification of onshore and offshore structures, buildings, transportation systems (road, rail, airport, seaport), bridges, infrastructure, drainage, underground utilities, wastewater collection and treatment, underground gravity drainage system, tunnels, geotechnical design, and other civil and structural engineering works.

  • Industry sector – experience of oil and gas, power generation, other heavy industry or civil infrastructure projects for the UK and/or global projects
