Robert Half Staff Accountant in League City, Texas

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in the insurance industry, based in League City, Texas. As a Staff Accountant, your main role will be to process and analyze financial information related to our client's accounts and operations. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process and review financial transactions and ensure accuracy

• Conduct thorough financial analysis to assist in business decision making

• Utilize SAP and Yardi software for processing and recording transactions

• Perform month-end close procedures and generate financial reports

• Handle bank reconciliations and maintain general ledger

• Abstract data from legal documents and contracts for review

• Work with real estate, joint venture, and property accounting processes

• Ensure all customer credit applications and records are accurate and up-to-date

• Respond and resolve customer inquiries related to their accounts

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary. Requirements • Proficiency in SAP and Yardi software systems

• Demonstrable experience in Month End Close procedures

• Proven skills in Financial Reporting

• Strong Financial Analysis capabilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the Insurance industry

• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred but not required

• Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
