Introduction and Overview

We are searching for a dedicated Principal Project Engineer to join the MAKE Asset Management organization of the Latina Plant in Italy.

The Principal Project Engineer will be involved in critical Projects of the Site, covering a leadership position or providing expert support depending on the dimension of the initiative. The specific competence and expertise requested to the candidate is in the field of Construction Management, Construction Safety, Facility and Utilities Design principles. First assignment will consist of supervising all the construction activities of the most important construction worksite of Latina Plant. The Principal Project Engineer will interact with general contractor, clerck of work and Safety DRI overseeing the construction progress in a timely and safe manner. The Principal Project Engineer will be the main link between Construction Team and Manufacturing Site.

Objectives of the Position

• Collaborate with clerk of work, Safety DRI and general contractor, supervising construction site.

• Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed.

• Lead changes or modifications needed to assure smooth operations during the construction process.

• Ensure high quality construction standards.

• Collaborate with Project PM to tackle any possible Design issue during Construction, guaranteeing a close connection with Manufacturing Site Management.

• Care of regular communication and attend meetings with project team to advise of project progress.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking abilities.

• Competent in conflict and crisis management.

• Strong communication and management influence skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (required). A Master degree in engineering (mechanical or civil (preferred).

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in Construction and/or Project management, or a related role (required).

• Knowledge through experience of Construction and Project Management, Safety rules and Facility/Utilities Design principles (required).

• Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards (required).

• Proficient in Italian and English language (required).
