Description

Robert Half is seeking a Social Services Lead that will manage a small staff and oversee large properties/communities, plan events, and support residents by providing access to community resources. The ideal individual is someone who naturally connects well with others and has experience with community/resident based non-profit work. A certification in Social Work is required and a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Supervise and provide direction to the social services team.

  • Resident Support: Offer general assistance, advocacy, and clarification about social services like Medicare, Medicaid, and others.

  • Partnerships: Maintain relationships with local, county, and state resources for up-to-date service provision.

  • Referrals: Link residents to supportive services such as case management, personal care, meals, transportation, and more.

  • Family Collaboration: Work with residents, families, and caseworkers to ensure proper social services planning.

  • Program Management: Oversee funding, reporting, and operations of the Congregate Services Program.

  • Resident Enrichment: Organize programs and activities to promote residents’ social and psychological well-being.

  • Education and Empowerment: Inform residents about available services and empower them to access these independently.

  • Compliance and Documentation: Collaborate with property management to ensure lease compliance, handle safety issues, and document service interactions.

    Requirements

  • Experience in a social work or human services setting, preferably in a management or supervisory role.

  • Familiarity with regulations and standards relating to the delivery of social services.

  • Project management and strategic planning skills.

  • Excellent record-keeping skills and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Ability to build partnerships with other agencies and community organizations.

  • Proficient with various technologies including case management software.

  • Staying abreast of new laws and regulations in the social services field.
