Our client in the manufacturing industry is seeking a CNC Machinist to join their team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be part of the manufacturing operations, ensuring that a quality product is produced. The ideal candidate will have manual dexterity, skills in reading blueprints, and experience working with metal CNC machines.

Job Title: CNC Machinist

Location: Lawrenceville, GA

Shift: 2nd and 3rd

Pay Range: $18.00 - $22.00 hourly

What's the Job?

• Plans machining by studying work orders, verifying blueprints, materials, specifications, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).

• Sets-up lathes/mills by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, and compensation; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving first part.

• Sets-up lathes/mills by adjusting collets, three-jaw chucks, and/or vise jaws, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, stops, and stock pushers or pullers.

• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces; adhering to WIKA standards.

• Maintains specifications by observing CNC tools, sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.

What's Needed?

• 2-4 years previous experience on lathe and mill machines and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

• HSD or GED required

• Have worked with Metal CNC machines required

• Experience machining multiple parts is required

• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
