ResponsibleforfollowingallHIPAAregulationsandguidelines.
ResponsibleforfollowingallOSHAguidelineswhilehandlingbloodorbodilyfluids.
Determinationofanathlete’sphysicalreadinesstoparticipate
Knowledge of injury evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation.
Knowledgeofnormalanatomicalstructureandfunction.

Assessesathlete’sstatusinresponsetotreatmentandmodifiesprogramsasappropriate.
Appliestreatmentproceduresandmodalitiesinaccordancewithestablishedindicationsandcontraindications.
Preparesathletefortreatmentandinsurescomfortandsafetyofathletes.
Instructsathleteintherapeuticexercise,andstrengthandconditioningprograms.
Informs athlete and families ofimportantaspects of athlete’s presentcondition,including concussion,woundcare,firstaidand follow-up care.
Informsphysicianandprogrammanagerofanynecessarydocumentationorobservablesignsthatneed investigation.
- Engagedactivelyinmarketingactivities topromotegrowthofSTRHSSportsMedicine.
- Promotedhealtheducationthroughcommunityeventsandpresentations.
- Maintainingbusinessrelationshipsanddevelopmentof STRHSSportsMedicinereferral network.
- Meets criteria forcertification as establishedinthe NationalAthleticTrainers Associationwith respecttoCEU's.

Minimum Education □ Graduate of a Program in Discipline, Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training Required
Minimum Education □ Master's degree Preferred
Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
