Summary

Works independently under the management of the Food & Beverage department with a focus on providing exemplary food & beverage service to all guests and team members, including beverage servers or food servers. Delivers exceptional guest service as defined by the company. Follows all operating procedures, safety regulations and company policies and procedures. Knows proper food handling and SNHD regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for the highest level of guest service while observing responsible beverage service

• Maintains food line and checks time and temperatures utilizing department temp logs for time and controls

• Provide requested beverage cocktail and/or recipe preparation and deliver cordially to guests and/or beverage servers

• Follow all health and department standards utilizing a jigger and ice scoop

• Mixes and serves alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages and prepares food according to established recipes and procedures

• Maintains cleanliness and hygiene of work area, bar tops, floors, and line equipment, changing utensils when needed and maintains food quality throughout shift

• Receives, issues, and keeps necessary records of food and bar supplies

• Refills and stocks garnishes and glassware

• Rotate and replace food stock in a timely manner up to operational and business needs

• Monitor and keep all refrigeration, storage, and equipment in clean and functioning condition

• Notifies management immediately of any equipment issues

• Visually inspects food for quality and presentation making sure food looks appealing before serving

• Must be able to work with cleaning chemicals and/or other work-related chemicals within the department while understanding the SDS procedures

• Perform general cleaning task throughout shift using hotel and health department standards

• Occasionally washes dishes and kitchen utensils

• May need to use cleaning products and will need to wear gloves when necessary

• Follows cash handling and Infogenesis POS procedures

• Follows cash and comp procedures

• Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations, if they apply to the position

• Provide outstanding guest service in a timely manner to both guests and fellow team members that meets the company’s guest service culture standards

• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

Job Qualifications

• Minimum of one-year previous experience in a high-volume bar and food outlet, meets qualification for a bartender position

• Proven experience providing high level of guest service

• Must have a working knowledge of POS system, liquor/soda guns mixology and maintaining food quality

• Knowledge reading labels and identify products and/or uses

• Able to demonstrate proficiency using a radio and phone

• Ability to handle a cash bank

• Ability to identify food product as well as fresh herbs by sight and know the proper storage areas for such

• Basic mathematical skills required to effectively tender guest checks, provide change and for cash bank accuracy

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Ability to abide by company policies procedures and/or State and Federal laws and regulations in relation to health, safety, sanitation, and presence of minors in gaming areas

• Ability to communicate in English, both written and verbal

• Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

• Verify right to work in the United States

Physical Requirements

• Constantly stand or walk 90% of shift

• Regularly bend, stoop, reach, and twist

• Regularly lift, grasp, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects weighing up to 100 lbs

• Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity

• Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concertation to detail

• Constant use of hearing and vision, distinguish between shades of color
