Description:

General Summary

The Casino Hosts are responsible for all new players’ card enrollments on the casino floor and casino pit areas. Strong knowledge needed on evaluating all levels of guest play to determine if comps can be used. Casino Hosts must be able to change focus quickly, handle multiple situations and/or tasks at any one time. Having excellent communication skills is a must. Prefer at least one year of experience as a Casino Host, but will consider casino workers that have worked in a casino environment position that handles customer complaint/issues and had the authority to resolve customer complaints and/or issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Achieving the department required number of new player sign ups each month.

  • Knowledge working with LMS and CMS when evaluating guests play and able to make sound comping decisions.

  • Knowledge on how to use Microsoft Excel and Word and be able to create an Excel spreadsheet.

  • Ability to access and input information using a moderately complex computer system.

  • Knowledge on how to book a reservation in LMS.

  • Able to use and handle a multi-phone line system.

  • Provide assistance to all external and internal guests on a professional level at all times.

  • Deal with a number of problems requiring initiative and good judgments.

  • Have knowledge of company and departmental policies and procedures in order to provide consistent and accurate information to guests and other employees/departments.

  • Work with minimum supervision and complete projects in a timely manner.

  • Work under pressure with minimal errors and meet deadlines.

  • Comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions.

  • Maintain assigned shift/job requirements in conformance with company standards.

  • Able to be flexible on hours worked and days off and able to work nine or more hours per day with one day off per week.

  • Able to stand and walk for eight hours a day.

  • Ability to approach guests on a one-on-one basis.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

  • Provide outstanding guest service to all internal and external guests

Requirements:

Job Specifications – Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

  • Must possess a gaming card.

  • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

  • Must possess excellent GREATER Guest Service skills.

  • Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest and /or fellow team members when requested.

  • Ability to listen effectively, speak, read and write English clearly.

  • Ability to comprehend and follow written and/or verbal instructions.

  • Able to stand and/or walk 100% of the time.

  • Able to use LMS, CMS, Word, Excel.

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations

  • Obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company

  • Verify right to work in the United States
