Job Title: Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Lathrop, CA (ONSITE)

Employment Type: Perm

Overview:

As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will oversee the efficient and organized storage of goods within our warehouse facility. Your role will focus on maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating the receipt and dispatch of goods, and ensuring the overall safety and cleanliness of the storage space. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various teams within the organization.

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Maintain accurate inventory records through regular audits and cycle counts.

Coordinate the receiving, storage, and issuance of goods in compliance with established procedures.

Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and losses.

Warehouse Organization:

Plan and optimize storage layouts for efficient space utilization.

Ensure proper labeling and identification of all stored items.

Oversee the placement and retrieval of goods using appropriate material handling equipment.

Order Fulfillment:

Collaborate with the sales and distribution teams to fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.

Coordinate the picking and packing of products for shipment.

Monitor and track order progress to meet delivery deadlines.

Safety and Compliance:

Enforce safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to storage and handling of goods.

Conduct regular safety training for warehouse staff.

Communication and Coordination:

Liaise with suppliers, vendors, and other departments to facilitate smooth warehouse operations.

Communicate effectively with team members to address any issues or concerns promptly.

Collaborate with logistics and transportation teams to optimize overall supply chain efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

Implement quality control measures to ensure the integrity of stored products.

Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any quality issues.

Documentation and Reporting:

Maintain comprehensive records of all warehouse activities, including receipts, shipments, and inventory levels.

Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) and present findings to management.

Requirements:

2+ years of experience working in an R&D environment.

5+ years of experience operating forklifts.

Ability to lift 45 lbs when needed.

Strong materials organization skills.

Full competence with Microsoft Office software.

Experience with CAD software preferred.

Desired Experience:

3-5+ years of demonstrated hands-on work experience in a related field/environment.

Experience utilizing Jira, SharePoint, and Confluence.

Experience operating in a fast-paced R&D environment.
