JOB SUMMARY - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Develops markets by identifying potential products, collaborating closely with Product Development to define specifications and development timelines, initiating test markets, and creating comprehensive marketing and pricing strategies. Serves as a key interface between R&D, regulatory, and commercial teams to drive upstream product management and ensure alignment with customer needs and business objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Upstream Product Strategy & Development: Identifies and prioritizes new product opportunities by conducting market analysis, gathering Voice of Customer (VoC) insights, and defining product requirements for the product development team. Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory, and operations, to define product roadmaps and ensure alignment with business goals. Conducts feasibility assessments, business case analyses, and financial modeling to support new product investments. Supports the product development process by working closely with engineering teams to influence design, usability, and overall market fit. Engages in early-stage technology evaluation and competitive analysis to inform future product pipeline strategies. Defines product specifications and user requirements based on market research, competitive insights, and customer feedback. Works with clinical and regulatory teams to ensure proper product positioning and compliance with industry standards. Market and Competitive Analysis: Assesses market trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs to drive product strategy and decision-making. Conducts primary and secondary market research to identify gaps and opportunities within target segments. Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by evaluating market needs and identifying opportunities for differentiation. Commercialization Support: Collaborates with downstream marketing and sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies for new product launches. Provides insights for product positioning, pricing strategies, and promotional messaging to maximize market adoption. Supports early commercialization efforts, including KOL engagement, pilot programs, and field evaluations. Works with sales management to formulate product sales and marketing strategies, ensuring smooth transitions from development to commercialization. Forecasting and Lifecycle Management: Develops and maintains product forecasts to support operational planning, inventory management, and sales alignment. Monitors product performance post-launch, collecting market feedback and identifying potential areas for improvement. Evaluates product lifecycle trends and recommends enhancements, extensions, or retirements as needed. Business Development Support: When appropriate, engages in strategic business development activities, including due diligence, partnership evaluations, and technology scouting to drive innovation and growth. Regulatory & Compliance: Ensures adherence to regulatory requirements and industry standards throughout the product development and commercialization processes. Works with quality and regulatory teams to define testing, validation, and documentation requirements for new product introductions. Cross-Functional Leadership: Serves as a key liaison between marketing, R&D, regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure seamless product development and execution. Facilitates cross-functional alignment meetings to ensure timely decision-making and project execution. Represents the company at industry conferences, customer meetings, and internal stakeholder discussions. May perform other duties as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelors Level of Degree in the Marketing field of study 6 years of demonstrated experience internal audit roles, including significant independent execution of tasks Any preferred education, experience or certifications: MBA preferred Skills/Knowledge Demonstrated organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills Self-starter able to work well within the group environment. Must have an entrepreneurial spirit and be able to excel in a team environment Strong analytical skills Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment Demonstrated project management skills and highly developed communication skills at all levels of the organization Must feel comfortable challenging current thinking and be flexible to adapt to changing requirements and priorities Proficient in the following computer software applications: Microsoft Office Exceptional interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally. The ability to present effectively in front of large groups is essential Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
