Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC (SMALL SHOP CHIEF), Position Description Number D12780000 and is part of the ARMY AVIATION SUPPORT FACILITY 3, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Responsibilities As a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC (SMALL SHOP CHIEF), WG-5378-11, you will serve as a Small Shop Chief (SSC) with the responsibility for the overall operations of a small shop. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: Enlisted GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience or training must demonstrate a basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic theory and the makeup and operation of the various individual systems and their interrelationships. Experience using a small variety of test and measurement devices. Experience removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing a variety of parts, components and accessories. Experience reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 18 months experience or training removing, adjusting, replacing, cleaning, and installing parts, components, and accessories. Experience which provided working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic theory applying to powered support equipment and systems; and skill to replace, fit, install, and make adjustments. Experience which provided working knowledge of the makeup and operation of the various individual systems maintained and their interrelationships. Experience reading and interpreting parts lists, manufactures' repair manuals, diagrams, and electrical schematic.
