Job Summary and Qualifications

Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the patients served in his/her department. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span, possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient’s requirements relative to his/her age-specific needs, and provides care needed as described in the departmental policies and procedures. Provides health care services applying sonic energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment. Performs Ultrasonic imaging and related procedures in the following area: OB/GYN, Abdomen, Neurosonology, Peripheral Vascular, and Echocardiograph. Demonstrates anatomy for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgement in performance of services and maintains a demeanor that reflects a high standard of medical ethics. Recognizes conditions essential for the successful completion of procedures. Provides appropriate health care services to neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Other responsibilities are as follows, daily monitoring of the Plus/ staffing productivity, monthly and daily schedules of staffing. Ordering supplies for their department, and perform the daily verification of charges for that department. This position also require the lead to attend all monthly staffing meeting, weekly Management team meetings and participate in the yearly evaluations of their staffing, and interviewing for new positions in the department.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification

• High School Graduate / GED

• Registered Radiographer (ARRT), or Ultrasonographer must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
