Job Summary and Qualifications
You will perform the active nursing process consisting of the functions of assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for patients
You will coordinate courier pickup for diagnostic image CD’s, upload diagnostic images to vendor specific sites, download diagnostic imaging from PACS, review pre-op labs and report abnormals to physicians, and ensure CV Surgical consult(s) are on chart prior to procedure
You will ensure completion of HCA TAVR, TEER, TMVI, and LAAO NCD/LCD worksheets, calculate STS Pre-op Risk Score; complete pre-op KCCQ form; complete 5 meter/ 6 meter walk tests with patients as applicable; manage TVT and LAAO Registry Data Submission; maintain case lists for abstractors, and validate reconciliation sheets from abstractors
You will collect and enter follow-up records from MD offices into TVT and LAAO site as applicable, prepare and submit quarterly harvest for submission based on data schedule, as applicable, and chair the Structural Heart Team Meetings
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing required
Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada required
Current ACLS and BLS certifications required
CCRN preferred
Current cardiology/cardiovascular nursing experience required
Minimum of two years’ experience in acute care hospital setting
Minimum of two years recent critical care clinical nursing experience required
Proficiency in cardiology nursing procedures and skills, including cardiac dysrhythmia interpretation required
Minimum of 2 years recent cardiology nursing experience preferred
Comply with hospital employee health, infection control and safety management programs
