Job Summary and Qualifications

• You will be responsible for day-to-day operations of the inpatient transporters as well as throughout the hospital. This a non-clinical, non-certified associate position responsible for providing exceptional hospitality services in an attentive, friendly and efficient manner to all patients during their entire stay

• Your main duties and responsibilities of the Internal Patient Transporter Supervisor will be to lead a team of internal patient transporters and supervise transportation of patients within the hospital environment by wheelchair, stretcher or bed and lead the internal patient transport

• You will dispatch and must have a working knowledge of transport ordering systems. You'll prepare various reports (to include daily productivity report), conducts surveys, maintain equipment, and make sure the transports are carried out complying with company and hospital policies

• You will transport patients when needed/ required, and will monitor work and leave time of current IPT staff, cover breaks/ shifts

What qualifications you will need:

• High School diploma or equivalent GED required health related facility

• Must have a minimum of six (6) months experience in patient transportation department in a health-related facility

• Active AHA BLS

• Basic computer and hospital informatics skills required; demonstrated competency and knowledge in the principles of personnel management

• Current clinical knowledge required. Minimum of 6 months management experience preferred
