Job Summary and Qualifications
The PCT/HUC participates as an active member of the Team on the assigned unit/department. The PCT/HUC under the direction of a licensed nurse, performs the principle responsibilities of entering orders, interfacing with the admitting department, maintaining appropriate supplies, compiling charts and interfacing with customers. The PCT/HUC assumes responsibility for coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective daily care for patients on the assigned unit/department
Principle responsibilities include participating in strategic planning, service delivery, program development, evaluation and implementation, budget and resource management, cost control, contract compliance and quality improvement
The PCT/HUC supports patient safety initiatives and quality improvement activities
Demonstrates knowledge of principles of growth & development over life span, and possesses the ability to assess data reflective of patient status, and to interpret the data appropriately to identify patient requirements specific to the patient’s age
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate from a certified nursing assistant program
Current license to practice as a Certified Nursing Assistant in the state of Nevada
BLS Certification from the American Heart Association
Must demonstrate the technical knowledge of a certified nursing assistant
Must demonstrate the technical knowledge of a unit coordinator
High School Diploma
Minimum one (1) year as C.N.A in an acute facility preferred
Previous Unit Clerk experience preferred
Appropriate to patient population and level of care
