Legacy Counseling and Workforce Connection LLC Mental Health Counselor in Las Vegas, Nevada
Master's degree from an accredited college or university in counseling, marriage and family therapy, psychology, social work or closely related academic field and two years of post-master's degree professional mental health counseling experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and clinical experience at or above a Master 's degree and experience as described above
Licensure and/or certifications as a Marriage and Family Therapist, Certified Professional Counselor or Licensed Clinical Social Worker is required.
The hiring agency may require specific skills related testing as part of the interviewing process
A valid driver's license or evidence of equivalent mobility at the time of appointment and for continuing employment
A pre-employment criminal history check and fingerprinting are required
Responsibilities
Mental Health Counselors provide individual, family, and group therapy utilizing evidence-based treatment practices and complete assessments and person-centered treatment plans
In addition, Mental Health Counselors act as the Primary Behavioral Health Provider for assigned adults and youth and may be required to coordinate Child and Family Team meetings, referrals, discharge planning, and overall clients clinical needs
