job summary:

Tatum is recruiting for a Controller for a great construction company in the Las Vegas area. The ideal Controller will have full-cycle, hands-on accounting experience managing a small team, ideally within the construction industry. This role is an onsite position, centrally located in Las Vegas, NV!

responsibilities:

• Responsible for billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cost accounting, revenue recognition, account reconciliations and performance against budgets

• Prepare adjusting, recurring, and standard journal entries during the month end close process

• Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and profit and loss statements

• Analyze, track, and review project budgets in a timely manner; prepare project budget forecasts and report variances

• Review payroll data prior to submission

• Provide external auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents as needed

• Special projects as needed

qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required

• Minimum of 5 years of full-cycle accounting experience

• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLookup's, etc)
