We are currently seeking a skilled certified Traffic Flagger to work Mears Group – Mears Pipeline subdivision Construction projects. In this role, you will assist with the safety of our employees, the public, and our client all while managing traffic.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
In this role you would:
Assist with setting up construction work zones
Directing safe coordination of vehicles and equipment
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Knowledge of:
Company safety and emergency practices
Construction tools, equipment, and practices
Job Responsibilities with the ability to:
Perform all duties in a safe manner
Promote good public relations
Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of daily activities
Perform all work in accordance with applicable sections of Company Operations Manual
Perform other duties as assigned
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Skills):
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions.
Must be certified in applicable local, county, state and federal flagging procedures.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is performed most frequently outdoors in weather conditions that vary from freezing temperatures to heat above 90 degrees, in wet and dry conditions and in rural areas. Some exposure to odors, gases, dust and dirt may occur. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. Lifting and carrying of 10 to 50 pounds frequently is required. Job requires standing, crawling, climbing, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling and reaching a majority of the time.
