Security Shift Supervisor Arizona Charlie’s Boulder (Las Vegas, NV)
Description:
Summary:
Assist with Security Shift Manager with the day to day management and operation of the assigned shift in the Security department. Implement approved procedures, train, schedule, supervise and evaluate subordinate Security Officers. Supervise and coordinate the activities of Security Officers. Assist officers in day to day dealings, as needed.
Essential Functions:
Train, evaluate, and supervisor Security Officers
Implement and ensure policies and procedures are properly followed
Make appropriate decisions regarding escalated guest and employee issues
Review all documentation generated by shift to include, but not limited to Daily Activity Reports and Incident Reports
Perform, as necessary, all duties required of Security Officers
Provide overall protection of company assets.
Guard transfers of moneys and tokens on the casino floor as well as the physical transportation of hopper fills, chip fills and credits
Interact with guests and employees in a professional manner
Interact with local law enforcement and emergency medical services as required
Approve completed Incident Reports
Ensure compliance with all applicable gaming laws and company internal controls, policies and procedures, Title 31, and federal regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Qualifications/Requirements:
Minimum two years law enforcement, military and/or casino security or surveillance experience preferred
Previous supervisory experience within a security department preferred
Previous experience making appropriate decisions relating to escalated guest, customer or employee issues
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively write routine reports and correspondence
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to use commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
Working knowledge of Microsoft operating system and applications essential
Use/learn laptop computer to do lock interrogations of room locks
High school diploma or equivalent
College degree in Criminal Justice or related field desirable
Must be at least 21 years of age

Must be able to qualify under ACEP requirements with his/her weapon under PILB guidelines
Physical Requirements:
Walk, stand, sit or stoop 100% of time
Jog or run on occasional basis
Occasionally lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects weighing up to 75 pounds
Able to communicate vocally and hear voice and other audible commands
Ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding and ramps
Occasionally drive motor vehicles
Work for sustained periods of time maintaining concentrated attention to detail
Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity 50% of the time
Vision, hearing, speaking and literacy (critical)
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
Working indoors or outdoors in a noisy, smoky, dusty environment that is either hot or cold
