Lead EVS Porter Arizona Charlie’s Boulder (Las Vegas, NV)

Description:

Summary: Assist the EVS Manager in monitoring all general public areas to ensure all standards are maintained and to enforce rules and regulations, policies and procedures. Assume primary responsibility for public area cleaning in the casino, hotel, restaurant sitting areas and etc. Responsible for the efficiency and orderly supervision of public area cleaning, servicing, reporting, and management functions through the proper use of employees.

Essential Functions:

  • Ensures all equipment is clean and in good repair.

  • Trains EVS porters and Utility Porters in EVS techniques and proper use of equipment and chemicals.

  • Inspects and surveys public areas for compliance with departmental standards and cleaning schedules.

  • Assigns and directs duties of employees.

  • Delegates authority to appropriate employees.

  • Controls labor hours and supplies usage.

  • Tests new procedures, products, equipment, and uses only those that are authorized.

  • Verifies and approves employees’ payroll sign in sheets.

  • Prepares daily and monthly reports and cleaning schedules.

  • Develops schedules to provide adequate work coverage.

  • Requests maintenance for buildings, furnishings, equipment and other areas as necessary.

  • Periodically reports to the EVS Manager on the quality of the performance of each associate he/she supervises, offering remarks about employee performance

  • Conduct start-of-shift meetings so employees are informed of expectations required of them throughout shift.

  • Maintains the cleanliness of assigned area in accordance with standards set by management.

  • Maintain confidentiality of guest information.

  • Other job related duties as assigned by management/supervisor.

Requirements:

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • One to three years related experience and/or training

  • or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Previous experience in hospitality industry, preferably Housekeeping.

  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling.

  • Functional in English both verbal and non-verbal pertaining to job.

  • High school graduate or equivalent vocational training.

Physical Requirements

  • Walk, stand, bend, reach, stoop or kneel at least 75% of time.

  • Push, pull and maneuver loads up to 80 pounds at least 75% of time.

  • Work inside in a noisy, smoky, and hot or cold environment.

  • Use tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity.

  • Walk, stand, crouch, or run on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.

  • Need to distinguish between shades of color.

  • Communicate via radio.

  • Vision, hearing, speaking (critical).

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

  • Regularly required to clean items at heights from ground level to 25-feet using a ladder or high lift.

  • Regularly required to use heavy commercial/industrial equipment to clean floors, carpets, sidewalks and parking areas.

  • Regularly required to use chemicals, cleansers and solvents using safety equipment provided by the company and read Material Safety Data Sheets written in the English language.

  • Regularly required to work with electrical equipment.

  • Must be able to tolerate heights as well as a fast paced environment where the employee is regularly exposed to cigarette smoke, loud noise, chemicals and solvents.

  • Occasionally required to assist with the lifting and moving of heavy items including but not limited to furniture, boxes and other heavy or bulky items.

  • May be required to handle and dispose Biohazard in accordance with OSHA training provided by the company.
