Job Title: Boiler Technician

Job Description

This candidate will be responsible for the regulatory servicing, installing and diagnostics of commercial boilers.

Responsibilities

  • Service commercial boilers and equipment on assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Perform repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of steam and hot water systems.

  • Use a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring diagrams, piping schemes, or engineering specifications, to diagnose and repair boilers.

  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and repair systems and products at the customer's various locations.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.

  • Perform boiler combustion analysis and be able to tune as needed.

  • Prepare for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work as necessary.

  • Inspect vehicles by checking vehicle condition and literature supplies.

  • Maintain vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and completing repairs and maintenance service.

  • Maintain tools and equipment by inspecting for signs of wear.

  • Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.

  • Represent the company by serving as a direct customer contact.

  • Determine parts to order for repairs and timeliness of need.

  • Keep current on all manufacturers' products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair.

  • Provide technical support to customers.

  • Regular travel requirements with occasional overnight travel.

  • Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.

  • Be knowledgeable about the products and services offered and become effective in the sales of those products and services.

  • Recognize opportunities and actively promote sales via Field Service Quotes.

Essential Skills

  • 4+ years of experience in maintenance or experience with boilers.

  • Experience with commercial boilers, installation, diagnostics, HVAC, and plumbing.

  • Ability to read and follow blueprints, wiring diagrams, and piping schemes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with all types of boilers, hot water, and steam.

  • Ability to use power tools and computers.

Work Environment

7am-4pm Monday-Friday (Varies depending on client request or needs). Uniform is provided for dress code. Working conditions may include cramped spaces and potential exposure to hazardous materials. All PPE is provided by the client. Own tools are not necessary but can be brought if preferred. Annual or quarterly success reviews.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Las Vegas, Nevada.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $35.00/hr.
