The Associate Director Business Development, Las Vegas Growth Center Lead coordinates business development activities to create new opportunities to drive top line growth for the Requirements and Capabilities Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) organization. The Associate Director leads business development efforts for all ASDS activities in the Las Vegas area, to include Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases. The Associate Director drives collaboration and alignment of all strategies to support customer satisfaction across the teams and is responsible for delivering new business and collaborating with the USAF. The Associate Director is accountable for building and maintaining relationships and interactions with US Government agencies to develop new business, share information, and to immediately resolve issues as required in support of capture and contracted program execution. The Associate Director works closely with Raytheon and RTX businesses, Strategic Business Units, Programs and Product Area Directorates, Business Development Executives (BDE), and other Growth Centers

What You Will Do

  • Support of capture teams to include leading and reporting on capture status, management of New Business Investment (NBI) resources, conducting market assessments, lead generation and qualification, customer relationship management development and execution of capture strategies in support of business unit growth targets

  • Execute business development strategy to meet growth targets

  • Coordinate and execute a prioritized plan of action and milestones that focuses on closing pursuits inside of the current Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Long-Range Plan

  • Collaborate internally and with our business partners to plan, develop and execute capture strategies

  • Coordinate and manage program associated NBI accounts, capture and proposal gates, reviews, new business assessment and pipeline reviews, international reps and consultants, and customer engagements

  • Lead by example and provide professional and technical expertise to the business development team, ASDS mission area, and applicable customers; provide matrix pursuit and capture support to other international Raytheon Requirements & Capabilities teams

  • Lead Raytheon activities required to plan, execute, and report on our participation on the annual Combat Air Forces Weapons and Tactics Conference

  • Support Facility Security requirements through coordination with ASDS Facility Security Officers

  • Job location is Las Vegas, NV

  • Travel: Domestic travel up to 25%

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum 12 years of experience in the Air Force or Defense Industry, or an Advanced Degree and a minimum 10 years of experience

  • Working knowledge of the Air Force customer and Air Combat Command mission set and organizations at Nellis and Creech Air Force Bases

  • Experience presenting and communicating with government customers and senior leaders

  • Working knowledge of the Department of Defense processes for Requirements definition and annual budgeting

  • Experience organizing and leading teams formed to complete business capture activities

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Master’s degree or Advanced Degrees in Business, Engineering, or related field

  • Familiarity with competitor and threat weapon and sensor capabilities

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
