Title:

GEOINT Flight Engineer

KBR is seeking a GEOINT Flight Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services in Las Cruces, NM. This position plays a role in helping the government integrate satellites into an operational baseline and providing analysis and recommendations on operational performance issues. While your duties may fluctuate, you will primarily be responsible for:

• Coordinating with satellite operators to ensure validity of operational processes and procedures

• Analyzing test results during verification and validation through vehicle launch and initialization and nominal operations

• Analyzing and developing concepts of operations, requirements, participating in design reviews,

• Helping the government manage satellite integration and readiness

• Evaluating integration activities, considering dependencies, and provide unbiased reports and recommendations

• Participating in project reviews and milestones, representing the government's interests

• Supporting government with engineering studies, process analysis, and project management, focusing on efficiency

• Assisting in developing and assessing operational concepts, requirements, test plans, and other documentation, including acquisition support

• Working with government staff and contractors to analyze risks, issues, and opportunities, offering recommendations

Qualifications:

• Active TS/SCI with CI polygraph

• Bachelor’s degree in STEM or related field with 9+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree with 7+ years of experience

• Technical knowledge of spacecraft systems and subsystems, ground communications, and mission planning

• Understanding of orbital mechanics and analytical tools

• Experience in spacecraft operations and space policies

• Experience in spacecraft and launch vehicle engineering, and mission readiness processes

• Experience with GEOINT mission systems

• Self-starter with no need for supervision; skilled in defining solutions for complex topics

• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and judgment

Desired:

• Familiarity with Digital Engineering/Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Agile development, cloud technologies

• Familiarity with digital collaboration tools, including Confluence and JIRA

Travel: Approximately every 2-months
