Overview:

Sunrun is looking for a Technical Program Manager, to join the company’s Data & Analytics Platform team, and play a pivotal role in evolving and delivering the company’s analytics strategy during this period of rapid growth.

Our team builds the core data models of Sunrun’s key applications, provides data to hundreds of analysts and thousands of end users, and acts as a key consultant on virtually all next-generation technology products. This is a highly leveraged position that can serve as a springboard into a number of exciting domains across the business.

The position will primarily be responsible for coordinating with key stakeholders, prioritizing and grooming their business requests into the Agile flow for engineers, and improving operational excellence. This role will report into the company’s Director of Data & Analytics, and have substantial influence on the broader team’s strategic roadmap and product strategy, as well as being highly-visible at the executive level.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own analytics intake/prioritization for senior stakeholders across many of the company’s core functions. Our team serves virtually all departments.

  • Triage work requests across a team of data and analytics engineers by using best in class Agile practices that balance effort, severity, impact, urgency and risk.

  • Ensure that all inbound requests are appropriately groomed with strong business requirements and scope boundaries. Strengthen our feedback loops (‘Grooming Ceremonies’) as product releases.

  • Interface with executive leadership to ensure that function-specific requests align with the company’s strategic priorities.

  • Ensure the team remains integrated with key ongoing and emerging projects, including a rebuild of our CRM and ERP.

  • Evangelizes product, platform, strategy and roadmap with various functional groups across Sunrun and drives excitement across the organization.

REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, AND OTHER SKILLS)

  • Experience: Minimum of 7+ years of Technology experience with 3+ years of Product and Program Management experience driving adoption of analytics at an enterprise scale, inclusive of Data Engineering, BI Tools, & End User Engagement. Past experience working with Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, Salesforce CRM, Oracle Cloud ERP is a plus. No solar experience is required.

  • Ownership and Accountability: Takes full accountability and drives results for a cross-functional portfolio and works across the organization top to bottom to get projects prioritized and efforts mobilized to ensure the necessary outcomes. Drives a mindset of accountability and ownership within the broader team.

  • Strategic Execution: Sees and evangelizes the big picture, but is disciplined in rationalizing our ambitious goals with realities of prioritization and day-to-day execution. Drives resolution of escalated blockers for the team.

  • Problem Solving: Quickly and effectively synthesizes and solves complex, interdependent problems, understanding the end-to-end business implications of decisions.

  • Communication & Listening: Compelling and effective storyteller. Proactive communicator to ensure transparency, visibility, and alignment. Attentive listener who seeks to understand others and can effectively negotiate.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or Science (or equivalent). Computer science degree is not required, but would be highly valued.

It assumes that the successful candidate will be located in markets within the United States that warrant the compensation listed. The starting salary/wage for this opportunity is:

$172,644 to $207,152

Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility, which is based on company and individual performance, short and long term incentives, and program-specific awards. Sunrun provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
