What you can expect to work on...

Niowave is an engineering playground where you will be engaged in problem solving on revolutionary systems that have a direct impact on cancer patient survival.  Senior engineers provide expert level skill in designing, machining, building, testing, and maintaining complex machinery in the development of medical isotopes. You will work closely with designers, machinists, physicists, other engineers, and technical experts within the department and across the company in the pursuit of transforming the world.

 

What you need to succeed...

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (or equivalent training/experience); preferred fields of study are: Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • 8+ years' on the job experience with mechanical drawings, prototype design and testing, materials management, product hardware management (integration, markings, tags, user instructions, etc.)
  • Experience with coordinating cohesive teams to create exceptional customer relationships and deliver remarkable outcomes.
  • Experience leading teams to complete large projects and driving progress based on performance metrics.
  • Regularly engages in mentoring multiple team members in mechanical engineering concepts and application.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills; Organizational and project management skills for self and teams.
  • Embraces and Models the Niowave Values of Teamwork, Courage, Integrity, and Upright Zeal.
  • Understands how to integrate into a new team/organization -- appreciates the history of current state, know how and when to make suggestions, as well as using just the right pace to reach the improved future state.

Great to have...

  • Master's degree in Engineering in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing lean manufacturing principles for continuous process improvements (Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, 5S)

Proven record of successful launch of product developments and success solving complex mechanical problems.

General facility design and operations experience (HVAC, cooling tower water systems, mechanical chillers, boilers, building maintenance and building automation, etc.)

5+ years working with QMS design control processes in regulated industries such as Aerospace/Defense,  Medical, or Pharma.

5+ years working directly with customers and commercial teams to identify project opportunities and building statements of work, quotes, or other requirements documentation.

Experience working in an NRC regulated manufacturing facility.
